This Divine Encouragement posting
(1) is so
appropriate to my current circumstance that it seems directed
specifically to me.
For the past several weeks I have been "free-falling", so to speak.
Having gone through financial devastation in the past, I have been
feeling resentful of facing a similar situation now. This was
exacerbated by a less-than-stellar review of my job performance by my
subordinates, to the point that those closest to me have been surprised
at what they know as uncharacteristic behavior on my part (I had
expressed my rage at the review to two of my loved ones, and was
basically using all my willpower not to show it or take it against my
subordinates).
I had likened my state to that of a top that had lost its center of
gravity and was spinning out of control.
I have come to realize, through attempting to explain how I felt to a
loved one, that I was throwing a tantrum at God, in the manner of a
spoiled child who is certain of his parents' love for him, but refuses
to take his medicine because it is bitter.
I cannot realistically say that everything will be smooth sailing for
me now acceptance-wise, but I pray to leave these dark emotions behind
and learn to conquer myself.
In this rambling sort of way, I want to thank you for the posting. I
really needed it.

A. Rejoice! Where you
see failure and misery, God sees progress.
If an untrained (lacking a better word) eye would review your letters
from some time back until to now, it would appear that you continue
to "free fall" as you put it, but that is just an appearance, an
illusion. As we make progress in our journey
Home, we get closer to God. The closer we get to God, the more Light
there is. The more Light there is, the better we see ourselves,
and.... the better we see ourselves the more misery we see.
What we cannot notice is that we are less miserable today than we
were six months ago.
For example - If by a miracle you could:
(a) See yourself six months
ago with the level of Light shining upon you today, you would faint in
horror;
and if you could
(b) See yourself today with the Light had shining upon you
six months ago, you would think of yourself "a saint" since you
have purified yourself greatly in the last six months, and, with
the dimmer Light of six month ago, you would see no blemish.
Therefore, if ever you see yourself as "having made it", you are in
trouble because you are slipping back into dimmer areas - away from
God. Conversely, if every day you see more misery that needs to
be eliminated, rejoice - get to work on it - because you are closer to Home.
We must add, however, that some bad/negative habits/tendencies
take some time to get rid of. As long as one keeps on trying in earnest
those bad/negative habits/tendencies will
eventually disappear.
However, know that as one approaches the freedom from said bad/negative
habits/tendencies, satan will "put on one major last fight" before he
loses the grip he has on that particular soul. This is why, in
some cases, one will see a great flare up in the bad/negative
habits/tendencies before they are totally conquered.

What
Joy follows self-conquest! You cannot conquer and control others until
you have completely conquered yourself.
Can you see yourself absolutely unmoved?
Think of Me before the mocking soldiers, being
struck, spat upon, and answering never a word - never a word. Try to
see that as Divine Power. Remember by that Power of perfect silence,
perfect self-control, you can alone prove your right to govern.
Never judge. The heart of man is so delicate, so
complex, only its Maker can know it. Each heart is so different,
actuated by different motives, controlled by different circumstances,
influenced by different sufferings.
How can one judge of another? Leave to Me the
unraveling of the puzzles of life. Leave to Me the teaching of
understanding.
Bring each heart to Me, its Maker, and leave it with
Me. Sure in the certainty that all that is wrong I can set right.

Have you ever noticed... what is the key message Jesus
delivered
when He cursed a fig tree for not having figs?
At first, such action may appear to be shocking since it seems that
Jesus is cursing a tree
which did not have figs because
it was not time yet. Are we witnessing a Divine tantrum? After
all, we read:
13 And when he had seen afar off a fig
tree having leaves, he came if perhaps he might find any thing on it.
And when he was come to it, he found nothing but leaves. For it was not
the time for figs. 14 And answering he said to it: May no man hereafter
eat fruit of thee any more for ever. [Mark 11]
Hardly so. The reason becomes apparent after they return
from Jerusalem. To wit.

And when they passed by in the morning they saw the fig tree dried up
from the roots.
21 And Peter
remembering, said to him: Rabbi, behold the fig tree, which thou didst
curse, is withered away. 22 And
Jesus answering, saith to them: Have the faith of God. 23 Amen I say to
you, that whosoever shall say to this mountain, Be thou removed and be
cast into the sea, and shall not stagger in his heart, but believe,
that whatsoever he saith shall be done; it shall be done unto him. 24

Jesus was teaching them a lesson about
faith and not about placing a curse on anything. A hard to forget
show-and-tell example with the fig tree being the only victim.
Regarding self flagellation..... and other acts of
self-inflicted physical abuse, such as the cilice, done in the name of
piety. Jesus was quite clear about it:
that is not the way God Wills that we
offer sacrifice.
Why are we absolutely certain of this - regardless of the many well
known faces amongst the saints (and would-be saints) who have practiced
this? Well - we "just know it" - but since I am not a "known face" we
will point to the best known face yet....
At Gethsemani ...he began to grow sorrowful and to be
sad. 38 Then he saith to them: My soul is sorrowful even unto death:
stay you here, and watch with me. 39 And going a little further, he
fell upon his face, praying, and saying: My Father, if it be possible,
let this chalice pass from me. Nevertheless not as I will, but as thou
wilt. [Matthew 26]
Jesus prayed thus three times. What was
at stake was the Salvation of
mankind, yet he would rather not subject Himself to physical pain
unless it was the Will of
the Father.
Using American vernacular we say: If that attitude was good enough for
Jesus, it should certainly be good for any of His followers – unless,
of course, someone, consciously or not, is trying to upstage Jesus.
Think about it.
However, day in and day out, little sacrifices are in line with God’s
will – such as denying ourselves little pleasures, inconveniencing
ourselves for the benefit of other(s), reasonable fasting (no hunger
strikes, please), long prayerful walks during Pilgrimages, eating
nourishing food which we find distasteful or not on our list of
favorites, etc.
To make sure that we get our point across, we will use yet another well
"known face".... the Virgin Mary's.
As part of the communications associated with Our Lady of the
Rosary of Fátima, the faithful were informed
not to seek
additional mortification to offer to God, but to offer/accept any
and all difficulties that we encounter in our daily lives for:
Love
of Jesus, in reparation for the offenses committed against the
Immaculate Heart of Mary and for the conversion of poor sinners. (1)
Do not be impressed by those who sleep on boards instead of a
mattress. After a few fitful nights on boards, the body will get used
to it and you will sleep as well as you always did. Proof: Have you
ever gone to a hotel where the mattress was much better than the one
you have at home, and you could not sleep?
The only Ones we should look upon as roles models are: Jesus and Mary.
Even if their perfection is unattainable for a mere human, such
perfection should be our only "standard".

Did you know why.... Abraham was so persistent with God
when he was on His way to Sodom to possibly destroy it since their sin
had become exceedingly grievous? To wit:

Obviously, it was not as the result of
Abraham's desire to save the wicked; it seems that he wanted to make
sure that God did not
destroy Lot, Abraham's nephew, and his family who resided in Sodom.
As it is always with God, He found a way to destroy Sodom and Gomorrha
and uphold His promise to Abraham.....
And
when it was morning, the angels pressed him (Lot), saying: Arise, take thy wife, and the
two daughters which thou hast: lest thou also perish in the wickedness
of the city.
16 And as he lingered, they took his hand,
and the hand of his wife, and of his two daughters, because the Lord
spared him.
17 And they brought him

saying: Save thy life: look not back, neither stay thou in all the

Moral of the story: It
is always a good idea to be on God's Good Graces when, symbolically,
"brimstone and fire may start to fall from Heaven" at any time. Remember
that even the most simple and easiest to follow
instructions: 17 ...and there they
spoke to him, saying: Save thy life: look not back, ...
if not followed will have catastrophic results: ... 26 And his (Lot's) wife looking behind her, was turned into
a statue of salt.
Do you know that.... the
"smoking gun" held by the West, which points to North Korea's
authorship of the torpedoing of a South Korea naval vessel, is composed
of the "Made in North Korea" torpedo remnants?
We certainly do not doubt
(although we have more than enough reason to, based on the track record
of the authorities) the findings of the commission which established
that a torpedo was the reason for the explosion.
Likewise, we do not doubt the commission's finding that the
torpedo was "Made in North Korea".
The problem with the logic used to push the Korean
peninsula to the nuclear brink is that the real "smoking gun" would be
the North Korean submarine. What if someone else - like those who need
to push the world over the brink to finally, and forcibly, establish
their New World Order - fired a torpedo (somehow obtained through
generous bribery of a NK official or their suppliers) from a non North
Korea submarine?

figures released on May 17 show the birth rate in Germany, Europe's
biggest economy, has plummeted to a historic low, dropping to a level

As demographers warn of the
consequences of not making enough babies to replace and support an
ageing population, the latest figures have triggered a bout of national
soul-searching and cast a harsh light on Chancellor Angela Merkel's
family policies.
According to a preliminary analysis by the Federal
Statistics Office, 651,000 children were born in Germany in 2009 -
30,000 fewer than in 2008, a dip of 3.6%. In 1990, German mothers were
having on average 1.5 children each; today that average is down to 1.38
children per mother. With a shortfall of 190,000 between the number of
people who died and the number of children who were born, Germany's
birth rate is well below the level required to keep the population
stable.

just a "routine procedure"; the "Morning After" pill is taken as just

In previous notes, I mentioned that I served mass with the
late
Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen
(1).
While I am not the only one who can say
this, my memory of the experience was rather interesting.
Many have characterized Sheen as a 'frustrated actor'. I would
contend from my personal experience that he was anything but
'frustrated', much less lacked real acting experience. In fact, I
assert that he was
a master of the craft. The key to
understanding this lies in understanding
Method Acting (2) -
where one does not merely read lines and feign emotions;
you become
the character.
In his many videos, Sheen is perceived as a jovial, brilliantly
glib, virtual polymath. A skillful presenter of complex philosophic,
theological and metaphysical constructs such that the common man could
understand. Within this
"play" this actor inserted plenty of
masterful rhetorical justification for the
'Red Scare' mentality
as being coherent with the essence of Judeo-Christian ethics and
morality. With some skillfully placed Marian allusions to make the
complete package
(his 'character') appear solidly Catholic.
Why would the executives of the then fledgling TV networks give
this man a prime time TV slot (and an Emmy award) for many years? A
Catholic in 'Protestant America, much less a Bishop?
In retrospect, two words:
An Agenda
Prior to serving my first mass with Sheen, I was introduced to him by a
priest. Sheen was a virtual block of ice.
He spoke not one word to
me.
He shook my hand as if being forced to. While I attempted very brief
and polite small talk, as any pre-teen child of the sixties would do to
be respectful of an
elder, he completely ignored me. He would not respond to even an
important question regarding the rituals of the mass we were about to
offer.
It was more than just ignoring me: he appeared suspicious of me. I
realized this, then was completely confused. Now over 40 years
later, one overall impression of him comes through: "Darkness". This
was the overwhelming feeling I received from the man - emotionally and
spiritually. As if he was of (and/or was enveloped in) "Darkness". It
was a palpable presence. This feeling continued through the mass - even
though the altar was brightly lit. I would have felt more comfortable
standing next to Dracula.
Bear in mind that I had seen him on TV prior to meeting him, and had
the common most positive perception of his 'character'.
I had no negative preconceived
notions. What I met and interacted with was not the same
man. It was 'dark', seething resentment and hate which felt aimed at me
(3). As if I was
of something completely alien, at enmity with him.
Yet I was a completely innocent 9 year old boy - with a very childlike
belief in God. How could I possibly be so threatening to this famous
Bishop?
While I have met dealt with many 'Method Actors" in the theater,
rarely have I met such virtual "
Jekyll
and Hyde"

situations... except among certain members of the Catholic clergy.
Perhaps it is time to revisit Robert Louis Stevenson's novel.....

Knowing you, we have no doubt that the spiritual experience was indeed
as you have related. Without a doubt, the experience had an even
greater impact in you since he was, as
you said, so positively perceived by Catholics as well as others. Of
course, some "arm chair psychologist" may say that your feelings were
the result of a normal let down by meeting, behind the scenes, a quasi
mythical figure.... to which we would respond: On the contrary, a child
would be so awestruck to work with (in a Mass) with such an important
member of the Hierarchy that most, if not all, character flaws would be
overlooked.
We just noticed when God chose to "air" this letter considering it
reached exactly one month ago: Pentecost Sunday.
May it serve to underscore what we do not tire of repeating:

it would seem that even the excuses being offered for his failures are

Frankly we fail to see the purpose of your kind offer but

First we wish to congratulate you for encouraging

March 2002, the members of your
parish, Sts. Faith Hope and Charity Church, to hold back contributions
until the church would adopt a policy of full disclosure and zero
tolerance. That was indeed a courageous act considering that you
are (or were) in the banking business. It seems that your drive for
purification assisted the Opus Dei influence in the parish, since we
noticed that Sts. Faith Hope and Charity Church was one of the few
churches in the US which celebrated Masses in 2007 for the feast of
Josemaria Escrivá.
But back to Mr. Picchietti's allegations, allegations which without a
doubt were
triggered by our statements in this same forum on May 18th, and we
quote:
They are willing to sacrifice the memory of John Paul II if that is what it takes
to continue with their plans and The Memory of John Paul II on the line.
[On the Sunday edition of the most respected center-right daily of
Spain there was a two full page article going into greater detail than
the NCR article linked here. In said article there was no hedging about

We can summarize what we meant in an easier to comprehend statement:
They are willing to sacrifice the good
name of John Paul II....
The key is "
the good name"
or the very "
positive memory"
the world has of John Paul II – a "
good
name" and "
positive memory"
which Benedict and his people have been exploiting to the maximum
extent possible... up to now.
A "
good name" or "
positive memory" does not
necessarily reflect reality. At one time Hitler, the Japanese Emperor,
Pope Alexander VI, and Fidel Castro - just to mention a few - had a "
good name." They would have left a "
positive memory" if they had died
before their deeds blew up in the face of the world.

Our files abound with communications from us dated as far back as 1997,
decrying the Vatican's behavior regarding sexual abuse within the RC
Church. As a matter of fact, we have found no less than four letters
that we sent to Cardinal Ratzinger requesting sweeping action on this
matter. These letters were accompanied by appropriate supporting
documentation. All of this took place just before the sexual abuse
scandal broke out in full force in the US.
In an effort to give the Vatican "an incentive", we acquired 20-plus
copies of "The Great Unfrocked - Two Thousand Years of Church Scandal"
by Matthew Parris. We made this book available, free of charge, to
those who needed to know that the sexual abuse cancer was not just
another "evil" that might be (incorrectly) blamed on the Second Vatican
Council.

It seems that Mr. Picchietti also missed the fact that on March 19,
2002 - while John Paul II was still the acting Pope - miguel de
Portugal denounced

in no uncertain terms, the scandalous deeds of Cardinal Law, just as we
had already denounced Cardinal Egan

activities. On March 19, 2002, we told the world that “Rome has
lost
the faith and will soon become the seat of Antichrist�
(7) – and this has
already

Therefore, sir, in all humility we must say that we are better informed
about this matter than you seem to think. Nonetheless, we thank you for
contacting us so that we could make crystal clear - even to the most
confused souls - that when we refer to the "good name" or "positive
memory" of John Paul II, we are referring to the perceptions of others,
and not necessarily referring to our own view of his deeds.

It
appears that.... Benedict XVI has decided to acknowledge
and act upon what the New Testament warned us about almost 2000 years
ago.
As he approached Lisbon to start his four day visit in Portugal he
stated the following (1)

those souls devastated by the inaction of the RC Church Administration.

My wife and I are Catholic. We also listen to Jack Van Impe and
all in all, are trying our best to have eyes that see, and ears that
listen. We want to prepare our family for what we see coming, our
Lord's return. We want to be faithful to the word AND the church.
We are confused by how the Catholic church interprets the
"rapture". Jack Van Impe would imply that believers would be
raptured before the tribulation, and we are told this is not Catholic
teaching, and that Christians will suffer the tribulation and be
raptured.
Is the M+G+R Foundation a Catholic organization? It certainly
feels like it.
My Father in Law is a Permanent Deacon in the Catholic Church and even
appeared on EWTN's Journey Home program as a Catholic Convert. We
seek only the truth and feel as though you have a heavy heart with
respect to discussion of the Catholic Church vs the Catholic
Administration.
Can you or someone advise. I apologize for bothering you with

PLEASE help us interpret the claims by Catholic Planet regarding the

A. We are the ones who sincerely thank you for this
opportunity. Your letter illustrates what constitutes our "agony in the
garden." We see fine sincere individuals seeking the truth while “the serpent” pours forth “water as it were a river; that he might
cause her to be carried away by the river." [Rev 12:15].
(This water is of the same spiritual nature that John, Jesus and Paul
encountered in Time during their ministries here on Earth.)
First, let us remind you that the Church IS NOT the Administration. The
Church, as the New Testament clearly and repeatedly indicates, is
composed of the "living stones" - the souls who are trying to live The
Word - Jesus Christ. The Administrators are part of the Church as you
and we are - and that is it. The reason the Church has not collapsed
yet (0) is
because of the many fine "living stones" amongst the laity. (A far, far
greater proportion of the laity are “living stones” than are the clergy
– including the Hierarchy.)
God even had the kindness to send a holy man - Don John Bosco (1) - who for forty years,
under the full view of three Popes, clergy and hierarchy - showed that
if they practiced what Jesus taught the Faith would flourish even in a
rabid anticlerical Italy. Bosco’s example had little effect; the
Administration continued their "business as usual". Don Bosco even had
to "bribe" two key members of the Curia to have them approve the
Salesians (which had the green light from Rattazzi, the most
anti-clerical minister in Italy).
Summarizing, in general terms: we hold the Roman Catholic Church
Administration to be the present-day equivalent of the Administration
of the Temple of Jerusalem in the time of John the Baptizer and of
Jesus.
Are we "a Catholic organization?"
Were John the Baptizer – and Jesus Christ and His Apostles and
followers – "a Jewish organization?"
You can provide the answer to your own question.
Regarding the Rapture - unfortunately, living the
Protestant version of
the Rapture will be a horrendously painful error for many. In a way, it
is similar to the belief in reincarnation
(2). Those who believe in
reincarnation harbor the security that "they will always have another
chance (life) to get things right" - which they will not. The next to
the final cut of The
Elect
(3) -
those who will greet Jesus on His return - will have lived Purgatory on
Earth, i.e. The Tribulation - thus have been purified enough to
face/greet Him. There no escaping from that, although it may be
cushioned by assiduous prayer and sacrifices.
Regarding the Catholic Planet's "rating" of The M+G+R Foundation and
miguel de Portugal... It is indeed amusing. Who empowered Catholic
Planet (or the Roman Curia, for that matter) to evaluate what is
obviously beyond their grasp?
Having been the target of several murder attempts, we can assure you
that we are not very popular in certain circles.

you know that..... when anyone in the Church
Administration wishes to shut down a financially unprofitable or
critical-of-the-Administration Marian apparition, they quote (1) from the RC Church
Catechism:
God has said everything in
his Word
65 "In many and various ways God spoke of old to our

a Son." Christ, the Son of God made man, is the Father's one, perfect

already revealed truth, can in

Do you ever wonder who....
really is the controlling
force within the RC Church Administration?
Review the following very few key examples and then you decide.

essential for spiritual survival) to stay away from Roman Catholic
church services, even in parishes where (so far) the Masses are valid
and reverent?
My hunch is that the no-go line would be when the Vatican machinery
announces the False Christ, and gives allegiance to him/it. Likewise,
it would be necessary to stay away from the services of any
denomination that aligns itself with the False Christ.
But maybe the red line comes sooner than that ...

revealed information to m de P he will not even opine on the matter.
Of course, once the False Christ is officially presented - virtually or
in reality - that would be a clear no-go line. Besides that, as of now,
all that has been revealed to us regarding this matter is to not join
in the prayers offered for Benedict XVI nor Josemaría
Escrivá during Mass or any other religious service/function.
If and when God reveals further guidelines regarding this matter, we

Benedict's grand entrance in Lisbon and
Mass brought memories of Cleopatra's entrance in Rome as portrayed by
Elizabeth Taylor in the sixties movies. Without a doubt it must have
caused much sorrow to St. John Bosco since his famous dream
(1) seems to have been the
subliminal script.
The following is not based on 'research', but rather on what I was led
to 'understand' in watching Ratzinger's papal mass in Lisbon today.
First - I should note that I had no preconceived notions when I watched
the EWTN live broadcast of the papal mass from Lisbon. However, I did
what I have been doing for a while now when watching any such papal
event:
Invoking
the protection of the Holy Spirit against deception, and
(if it be God's Will) that if there is anything that He wishes me to
learn or understand from this, His Will be done.
There was
very heavy subliminal programming going on in this
'staged show'.
The term -
staged show - has
great prescience, as Msgr. Guido Marini, the Papal Master
of Ceremonies has advanced degrees in the
psychology of
communication. Prior to this 'show' this was evidence in
such
things as the Papal Throne growing ever more ornate and increasingly
elevated, and the 'Cleopatra' type water entrances in Sydney and
Malta.
As of this writing, better photos (than these
(2) ) and video clips of the
mass are not
yet available. But here we have:
1) the scenic backdrop of a 'safe
harbor'; with boats anchored..... 'to
the holy father'.
2) In wider shots, there appeared to be twin columns on either side of
the papal mass stage
3) The cross which grows out of the papal throne (nothing subtle, eh?)
has the Holy Spirit descending literally upon Benedict's head.
4) You may be able to discern the transparent screen at the rear of the
'stage', through which you view the 'harbor'. During certain part of
the mass, EWTN seems to have used it for a 'composite shot (several
times) in which the complete scene (boats anchored, harbor, twin
columns, cross, pope, were melded together in a trick shot using this
as a sort of 'greenscreen'.
As if all that were not enough, I 'detected' what you might call
subliminal backmasking. It would take me a while to unscramble all the
messages conveyed
(3),
but this was the essence:
"........I am with you always....... today I walk with you.....
Christ
is not two thousand years distant from us, but is really present
among us: he gives us the Truth and he gives us the light which is our
life and helps us find the path towards the future....... pre-eminently
present in the sacrament of his Body and Blood I am with you....... a
stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and he who believes in him
will not be put to shame”....... Draw near to the Lord, “that living
stone, rejected by men but in God's sight chosen and
precious”......... those who believe in Jesus will not be put to shame:
he is the Word of God,....... no adverse power will ever be able to
destroy the Church.......... A vast effort at every level is required
if
every Christian is to be
transformed into a witness capable of rendering account to all and at
all times of the hope that inspires him ........ only I can fully
satisfy the profound longings of every human heart and give
answers to its most pressing questions concerning suffering, injustice
and evil, concerning death and the life hereafter........ it is
necessary to proclaim anew with vigour and joy the reinvention of the
death and resurrection of Christ, the heart of Christianity......"
The words he used- his phrases - jumped out as double/triple and/or
inverse meaning. I understood that he was referring to himself,
regardless of the pious verbiage used. In some cases, I 'heard' two
things at once. Demoniacally clever. Nobody would suspect a
thing. I
cannot explain this further, except to summarize the subliminal:
"Worship me.... obey me...... the church is your only hope...
obedience".
I have no idea how others perceived this, if indeed many did. It is
likely that 'nothing funny'; will turn upon in any video of this mass.
One wonders what else Marini studied......

Although we have access to all Portuguese TV channels - courtesy of a
cooperator - we have just had a glimpse or two of the events. The
sorrow was almost overwhelming. The best way we can describe it is as
follows: Imagine being a German citizen watching those pep rallies for
which Hitler was so well known and knowing, without a shred of a doubt,
how it was all going to end.
The only consolations for m de P were: (a) Knowing that he was doing

As a follow-up to
the response to Ms. RM (see immediately
below) we wish to address now the veneration of images - such as the
Image of
the Divine Mercy.
The key word here is
veneration
- which IS NOT
adoration.
When we venerate an image we are focusing our total attention on the
particular image and what it represents. When we focus our attention on
something, a
psycho-spiritual connection is established by which "information", for
the
lack of a better word, "flows" (again, for the lack of a better word).
As we venerate, say, the image of the Divine Mercy, our brain is
processing the message it "transmits": the unfathomable Mercy of God
and the reality that the greatest sin a man can commit is but a grain
of sand when compared with the oceans of His Mercy. All of a sudden,
past grievous sins (forgotten or not) break the psychological barrier
of denial and surface.... then comes a feeling of "
He may forgive me, after all"....
which eventually turns into a rush of "
I am sorry, have Mercy on me for I have
grievously sinned".... and the purpose of the veneration - in an
extreme case - has been fulfilled.
The same, of course, applies with the veneration of a crucifix, as
miguel de Portugal experienced without even having a physical crucifix
before him. (miguel was venerating a mental image of the
crucifix at the time.) The awareness that indeed our sins crucified Him
(as you may read in
m
de P's report), generates such great sorrow that it is hard to
imagine anything that would exceed it.

I read your post of
May 8th about St. Benedict medal (1) and it scared me. What
you said about it makes sense and that is the reason of my scare.
I know the pain and anger of God when his people believe in the power
of things more than in His power, as is the use of a talisman/amulet.
We have practices that could be seen similar to what you said about St.
Benedict medal. For example: The miraculous medal, the veneration of
The Mercy Image, the Mount of Carmel scapular (Our Lady Of Mount
Carmel), etc.
In your FYI&R page you stated that it is "in contrast, the proper
use of a simple St. Benedict medal, as one would use another religious
symbol, is a different matter and should not be offensive to God".
I went to wikipedia in search of the definition of a talisman and it
refers me to the definition of an amulet . For my surprise, this page
identifies (2)
as amulet many of our sacramentals, including the rosary and the holy
water.
In the present days I believe is very important to have pristine clear
the difference of this two possible practices: that one which provoke
pain to God versus that one which is not offensive.
Please, could you clarify the two practices?

A. As always your questions are most welcome, for they
are
clearly from a pure soul seeking light. In addition, they give us the
opportunity to address very important issues on this page.
First of all, we must understand that to non-Catholics, all our
Sacramentals
look like amulets. Even the Sacrament of Holy Communion has been viewed
by some as cannibalism. (Of course, they do not realize that by
equating the consumption of the Holy Communion to cannibalism, they are
proclaiming the
Real Presence in the consecrated host.)
Secondly - we cannot equate the Miraculous Medal, the Carmelite
Scapular or the Rosary with a medal or relic of any saint - no matter
how great he/she may have been. While subject to the Most Holy Trinity,
Mary is above all and everyone else.
The Miraculous Medal was designed by Mary Herself. The prayer inscribed
on it (3) was
given by Her as well as the "Instructions for its use". Since Her Son,
God in the Flesh, paid attention to Her requests at the wedding feast
of Cana and (in spite of His initial "Woman,
what is that to me and to thee? my hour is not yet come." [John 2:4]) pleased Her by
turning water into wine, one would be very
disoriented not to be
attentive to Her requests and
make every effort to please Her in the measure that one is able to.

Amazingly enough, even those in great distress are often blinded by
satan and do not pray the Rosary (despite the level of faith they
believe to have). They ignore the Holy Rosary (the most powerful prayer
after the Sacrifice of the Mass), and instead use second-level
Sacramentals as talismans.
Is Holy Water an amulet? Only if one does not believe in the Sacrament
of
Baptism and its renewal as we bless ourselves with Holy Water.
However, all of the above -
and much more – can be (and often are!) used as amulets by
under-Evangelized souls. As we have extensively explained elsewhere (5)
one may visit the many churches in, say, Rome, Spain or Portugal and
sit in a corner and watch "the Faithful". The last thing that they may
pay attention to (if they notice it at all) is the Blessed Sacrament,
the very underpinning of the Catholic Faith! Meanwhile, the disoriented
Faithful rush to the statues to touch them, kiss them, embrace them
and, yes, lick them too!
Even if their Baptismal Certificate was signed by a Pope, they must
be technically considered pagans.
If one hangs a Rosary from the rear view mirror of the car - it could
be an amulet or not. It depends what the purpose is. If it is for "Good
luck", it is an amulet; if it is to have it in a handy place - as m de
P and many others do - to pray while driving, then it is a Sacramental.
If you consecrate your vehicle or house to, say, Our Lady of the
Miraculous Medal and you place Her medal in the vehicle or house, then
you are using it as a Sacramental symbol. If, on other hand, you just
place it in your home or vehicle "to keep evil away", then the Medal
has become a talisman/amulet.
If wherever you look in your residence or office you see holy pictures
- saints included - because you rejoice in keeping them in the
forefront of your mind.... that pleases God very much. If you plaster
your walls with holy images to ward off evil - then again they are
amulets.
If you keep holy images hidden in your bedroom and nowhere else
in the house one may
offend God - unless
due to socio-political reasons in that particular area/region it is
prudent to keep them out of sight from the casual visitor. In the place
of work, of course, other rules apply and the
display - if any - should be toned down considerably - but not omitted.
What is "going over the top" at the office? Before the man who
became m de P left the
world and was still engaged in his professions, the President of the
company with which he had a very lucrative contract came in to his
office to politely
request that he discontinued the incense burning during his prayer
sessions at the office. This, brethren, is no joke! Of course, the
company President was right. The prayers continued without the incense
and candles.
Of course - if you use any of the above mentioned Sacramentals for the
right purpose we assure you, satan and his minions will "simply not
drop by".
If we have not been clear enough - please ask again and we will gladly
try once more. This issue is very important since far too many
Catholics practice idolatry and not the Holy and Pristine Faith (which
God personally ensured the would reach us in spite of the RCC Church
Administration).

thereof) when I say that the constant testing tires me. I know I
shouldn't feel this way and yet I do. My "faith muscles" do not seem to
have developed symmetrically - strong at some points, weak in others. I
also know I have no one to blame for these trials but myself, yet like
any other spoiled child I do not joyfully embrace the discipline. What
an idiot I am. My own weakness exasperates me.
Item (b): I only take
solace in the fact that there are people who do rise above their
limitations, who do His will as He intends them to, and do not bow to
the pressures of the world. It may be shallow of me to say this, but
while I do not envy the role He has ordained for you, I do wish I had
your strength of faith.

Item
(b): A well kept secret (due to the failed Evangelization) is
that the highest level of faith to be attained by each individual is different from one to
another. We must view virtues as ingredients which go in the making of
a particular dish. The amount of each virtue within a soul depends on
the amounts of the other virtues - all geared to attain the full
potential God has determined for each particular soul.
Just "bang on God's doors" persistently asking Him to grant
you the level
of faith that He has ordained for you from all Eternity at that particular moment
since, a week from now, the level of faith that you must have will be
different. We must see ourselves as "a dish in progress" as we
journey through Tim on our way Home.
It is He Who grants the faith upon our request and ability to accept it.

I decided to pursue further the issue of the
very popular
crucifix combined with the famous St. Benedict
medal which was posted on this page on May 8th. (1)
Until today, I had never heard of the crucifix/medal combination. The
pictures of it on the referenced page (2) are shocking ... they
make Benedict and his medal, not Christ, the focus of attention ... and
the medal is placed above Christ's head!
Pursuing this issue further I found some very strange items in the
history of
the plain St. Benedict medal. The Catholic Encyclopedia quote
says:
It is doubtful when the
Medal of St. Benedict originated. During a trial for witchcraft at
Natternberg near the Abbey of Metten in Bavaria in the year 1647, the
accused women testified that they had no power over Metten, which was
under the protection of the cross.
Upon investigation, a number of painted
crosses, surrounded by the letters which are now found on Benedictine
medals, were found on the walls of the abbey, but their meaning had
been forgotten. Finally, in an old manuscript, written in 1415, was
found a picture representing St. Benedict holding in one hand a staff
which ends in a cross, and a scroll in the other.
On the staff and scroll were written in full the words of
which the mysterious letters were the initials. Medals bearing the
image of St. Benedict, a cross, and these letters began now to be
struck in Germany, and soon spread over Europe. They were first
approved by Benedict XIV in his briefs of 23 December, 1741, and 12
March, 1742.
The origin and value of the medal seems to be tied to "evidence" from a
witch
trial in Germany. Germany was heavily involved in witch-hunts in the
1500s and 1600s, with widespread torture and executions.
Another red flag is that the monks of the abbey had forgotten the
meaning of the symbols on the crosses in their monastery. How could
they forget something that supposedly was so spiritually important.
As if that were not enough, it was Benedict XIV who first approved the
medal in 1741-1742.
Regarding the reference's data on the blessing of St. Maurus ...

I always wondered why there had been no US response to real Acts of War
such as the capture of the USS Pueblo by North Korea during the Viet
Nam era and the attack on the USS Liberty by Israel during the Six Day
War. It seems that surprise attacks like those are like a blow to
the belly and leave us in shock and unable to adequately reply.
Could it be that maybe, just maybe the sinking of the USS Maine
(Spanish American War), the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand (WWI),
the invasion of Poland and Pearl Harbor (World War II), etc., were all
staged events, manipulations leading to other staged "wars" Korea, Viet
Nam, Iraq (no. 1) and (no. 2) and Afghanistan.
These kinds of machinations and manipulations only serve to confuse us
as common citizens and gradually have worn away our sense of purpose
and faith in the institutions, church and state, that gives us our
identity and will to go on. To contest Marie Antoinette, I don't
want to eat cake anymore I want real sustenance.
My only recourse is faith in Jesus and the Holy Eucharist.

Wednesday, the breach heightened a feeling among many users that it was
becoming hard to trust the service to protect their personal
information.

Think about this very, very carefully because that is
exactly what the
innocent wearer of such talisman (yes, that is what is being used as)
is telling Our Lord and proclaiming to the world.
We understand that the believer who uses one of these
crucifix/medal combinations is doing so
with the best
of intentions and is innocent from guilt.... but he/she is not free of
the
consequences associated with it. Remember, the victims of World War II
were not guilty of the refusal of the RC Church Administration to obey
the clear and specific instructions from Heaven, yet they suffered the
consequences.
Now, in contrast, the proper use of a simple St. Benedict
medal, as one
would use
another religious symbol, is a different matter and should not be offensive to
God.
It is interesting - This combined crucifix/medal is being
presented to the
Faithful as a
protection against the evil one, yet what it proclaims to the world is
that "the crucifix is just not enough". Do you hear the cackling of
satan? But then again.... should we be surprised? Now, a Benedict - the
16th, this time - is functioning as the AntiChrist (2).
As if all of that were not enough to raise the proverbial
red flags, consider the Blessing of St. Maurus (1):
There
is also a formal, priestly blessing offered to the sick -- the Blessing
of St. Maurus -- that requires either
a relic of the True Cross or the St. Benedict Medal. St. Maurus was a
disciple of St. Benedict, and his defender against those who persecuted
him. Pope St. Gregory the Great described him as a model of religious
virtue, especially obedience.
A St. Benedict medal is being equated with a relic from the
True

approximately 20 hours prior to the incident. The cement slurry design
was consistent with that utilized in other similar applications.
* In accordance with accepted industry practice approved by

* At the time of the incident, well operations had not yet
reached the point requiring the placement of the final cement plug
which would enable the planned temporary abandonment of the well,
consistent with normal oilfield practice.
* We are assisting with planning and engineering support
for a wide range of options designed to secure the well, including a
potential relief well.

Regarding the latest
"terrorist" attempt in New York
City.....
The curious (and obviously staged) 'car event' in
NYCs Times Square is to me funnier then a Marx Brothers movie. As a
native NYer and one who was born and grew up a few blocks away from
the 'scene of the crime', I felt the need to pass along a few
observations:
1)
YOU CANNOT PARK THERE!!!! By this I mean: '
do not
pass GO, do not collect $200...".
In my lifetime it has been literally impossible for a passenger car to
park... or stand.... or stop there! Even delivery trucks have severely
restricted locations and hours.
2) For the last 30 years there has always been a
very strong
police presence
in the area. Large numbers of uniformed AND plainclothes cops on foot
patrol. Marked and unmarked police cars cruise constantly. And
uniformed NYPD cops on horseback - for which there has long been a
special facility for the horses in the area!
3)
NYC tow trucks constantly prowl the side streets - and are
expert in hooking up and towing away a car in under 3 minutes (as I
know from sorry personal experience).
4)
Between all this, the cameras, and the signs ("Do not even THINK of
parking here!!!.... Fine and Tow $250 minimum), this is just
impossible... unless it was staged/allowed.
The heavy police presence is to protect the thousands of tourists and
theatergoers. It is strong in daytime; but in the 5- Midnight
shift (when the theaters are in operation) it is even stronger.
...and that is when this 'incident' happened.
If I count correctly, this is now the third 'suspicious vehicle'
found (amazingly!) parked in the area. One was right on 42 street where
all could see it.
The silliness of this became very obvious
when I noted that TV reporters 1) could not get the street location
correct, constantly changing it and giving conflicting reports, and
2) mentioning 'propane tanks' long before the car had even been
opened.......
I guarantee that if you were to park - much less sit idling... a cop
would be along within 5 minutes to tell you to move and/or ticket you!

In seeking an inexpensive healthy daily sustenance. Researching leads
one down a path of inquiry based on ones trusting knowledge of proper
nutrition and whether available foods are indeed really what they are
portrayed to be (call it being in perceived survival mode). At the
least, I am concerned with healthy choices; choices of what to eat and
choices of what is fit to eat. Up until a century ago this thinking was
quite simply: drink fresh local water (not chemically treated), eat
fresh (not unnaturally fertilized) vegetables, eat ‘freshly killed’
non-hormone fed animals - fresh caught ‘wild’ fish, fresh fruit,
unprocessed nuts, non-pasteurized dairy and whatever else God has
originally provided in the natural state and also generally what God
has provided for our food endemically.
Today's diet is ever so complicated due to the availability of choices
promulgated by the advertising media enabled by global transportation.
The whole world is for your selection. But the price for that is high.
Now, to ensure long shelf life (read sustained marketability of each
item), processing and lengthy preservation is needed. Some methods such
as many from times of antiquity are not harmful while many modern
methods alter our food into downright poisonous substances.
In line with this situation there has developed a vast market for
supplements – many of which had their earnest beginnings in successful
treatments/folklore medicine passed down through generations. Preceding
Big Pharma, many promising discoveries were pursued but then dashed
into the ground because they offered no vast potential to wealth.
Silver was found to have anti microbial properties; vitamins importance
was discovered; substances were discovered that could be used as
supplements for nutritional deficiencies; exploration of the body's
immune system was producing questions/answers to disease never before
possible (yet such knowledge is condemned to tiny footnotes in lieu of
Drug profit).
Consider the role fresh non-irradiated garlic could play in fighting
MSRA. Has anyone noticed how natural garlic with its attendant
God-given properties is devoid of those properties once irradiated to a
‘pure state’ [according to governmental institutions such as the
FDA]. Yet to speak in natural garlic's behalf is legal blasphemy.
Have you ever cut open a clove of natural garlic and compared it to a
cut open clove of irradiated garlic ? Notice the lack of a green germ
shoot within the irradiated clove - now it has a pathetic brown,
dead or open void; a witness to its impotence and inability to produce
the wonderful cascade of chemical events/substances (one being allicin)
of curative nature.
Man's scientific arrogance together with lobbyist facilitated greed has
corrupted our food supply and enslaved us to a future of fast
diminishing nutrition. Does ANYONE care - Read about Codex
Alimentarius. Has satan decided to torture us a new way – by deceit
through our leaders to force-poison first our minds then our people's
food? I have written to one of my state senators and received the reply
- “Thank you for contacting me regarding the federal regulation of
dietary supplements. I appreciate hearing from you.
While I recognize the potential health benefits of dietary supplements,
I strongly believe that consumers need to have accurate information
about these substances…” Here's a
thought from Albert Einstein: "If the honey bee ever disappeared, man
will only have four years left to live." ….and what are we now
hearing in the news about the U.S. having terminally lost 1/3 of their
bees so far…?
I am 66 and living on the verge of foreclosure and must juggle every
dollar spent. It wasn't always like this and I now know how easy it is
for the poorest folk to be sickly. One must choose amongst nutritive
food, heat/utilities/insurance/taxes/licences AND/OR shelter – whatever
is crying the loudest to be paid on an insufficient income.
In spite of that reality, I truly trust in Jesus every day one day at a
time. I follow your thought Miguel when you say we are heading
inexorably toward the abyss as we veer further away from the Truth… but
I do pray –

Did
you know that.... Cardinal Dario Catrillón Hoyos
has struck back with a vengeance to those who have marginalized him as
of late, including Benedict XVI? (1)
Castrillón Hoyos has
claimed that Pope Benedict XVI, as cardinal prefect of the Congregation
for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF), was involved in a 2001 decision to
praise a French bishop for protecting a priest convicted of raping a
boy and sexually assaulting 10 others.
According to the Associated Press, Cardinal
Castrillón told Colombia’s RCN radio on 22 April that the
decision to send a congratulatory letter to Bishop Pierre Pican of
Bayeux-Lisieux was the product of a high-level meeting that included
the then-Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger.
“It was a meeting of cardinals,” he said. “Therefore the
current Pope [Benedict XVI], who at the time was a cardinal, was
present. The Pope [John Paul II] was never at those meetings. However,
the Holy Father was indeed present when we spoke about this matter in
the council, and the cardinals ruled,” Cardinal Castrillón
reportedly said.

million German Catholics, that is a quarter of the German Church, are
expected to leave the Church this year because of the scandal?
This will cost the Church
millions of euros as people leaving opt out of paying church tax (8 per
cent of income tax). In Austria,
30,000 Catholics have left the Church this year, compared to 21,000 by
this time last year, which was a record year.

increased risk of pandemic H1N1 (pH1N1) influenza in people who had
previously been vaccinated against seasonal influenza.
Several public
health agencies in Canada undertook four additional studies during the
summer of 2009 to investigate further. Taken together, the four studies
included approximately 2,700 people with and without pH1N1.
The first of the studies found the seasonal
vaccine to be associated with an increased risk of approximately 68
percent for pH1N1 disease.

A year ago today, health authorities
confirmed the nation's first case of the H1N1 flu virus, a subtype of
influenza A.
It took less than a month for the virus, which is believed to have
originated in the Mexican capital in mid-April last year, to arrive in
Korea.
A team of doctors at Korea University College of Medicine recently
published an article on the government's response to the flu outbreak
stating that the early response between April and July was successful
in blocking the spread of the virus here.
With warmer seasons nearing here, people's fears are also growing about
the possible second wave of an H1N1 outbreak.
"Considering the past history of pandemics, we can't rule out the
possibility of a reemergence of the new flu virus," the team of Korea
University doctors warned in its report.

you know how....
to easily tell the difference between a staged attack (terrorist or
warfare) and a real one? (1)
It is amazingly easy. Take a look at the response to the
event. A most
recent and glaring example of a non staged event is the sinking of a
South Korean warship by North Korea. Had it been staged, with "a
response" in mind, there would have been an immediate and violent
response.
On the other hand, a classic staged event hoping for a
response which
would, in turn, justify a violent reaction was the "mistaken" attack of
the PRC (Chinese) Embassy in Belgrade by the US back in 1999. (2)

for NATO's 11-week bombing campaign on Yugoslavia was the one that led
to the U.S. attack on the Chinese embassy in Belgrade, CIA Director

provide only an ``approximate location,''

How Love Is
Replaced By Fear and How To Avoid It (1).
I thoroughly understand that if the human race had actually listened
and followed the call of Our Lady of Fatima and actually charitably
prayed for sinners, we would not be in the predicament that we are in
now. I get that.
However, I truly wish that more priests would present Hell and its
eternal consequences as Fr. Furniss has done. We are all lost
souls and without any personal acceptance of our sins and the common
mis-belief that God is not a severe and just Judge, there is no longer
any fear of Hell in this sad world.
The most common belief is that "
I'm a
good person... God knows that, so He will forgive my indiscretion in
committing any mortal sin, because I'm just a human and He will forgive
me, even though I don't really repent... I'm just looking to have my
fun and find the easy way out" .....does this make sense?
Am I not understanding your commentary properly? Even St. John
Bosco was shown where his unrepentant boys end up if they commit mortal
sin. There is no longer any ownership of the sins we commit in
this world, nor any sense of what constitutes a sin as mortal. I
am a monthly recipient of the Sacrament of Confession and I still
am bewildered about what is mortal and what is venial in this crazy
world of ours.
Perhaps if we all were reminded of Hell and its eternal consequences,
there would again be less sinning, more charity to our neighbor and a
true return to the Sacraments.

We have mentioned satan, his works and deceptions in over 120 of our

explained his deceptions, through the Grace of God, better than we have
ever heard or read anywhere. It logically follows that we are trying to
make the point that satan and hell are a reality and warning one and
all about them.
We have also made very clear that there is a vast difference between a
"warning" and a "threat." We summarily reject, with the authority
granted by God, Furniss' failed brand of Evangelization.
As we have also explained a number of times - the latest being in a
recent document

- when an individual is born in Time his ultimate destination -
Heaven or hell - is known to God. Since in Eternity, where there
is no
past nor future, that soul already is wherever it was destined for.
Therefore the Evangelization was supposed to: (a) Minimize the damage
done in Time by those souls who are already in hell but physically
alive on Earth; and (b) Minimize the suffering satan wants to inflict
on souls who are destined for Heaven as they
journey through Time.
This is why the "Pillars for Salvation and for a Safe Journey" are: (a)
Love
God above all (by word and
deed); and (b) Love thy neighbor as thyself.
When one truly loves
God one cannot help but love one's neighbor which then, by the very
nature of love, moves us to: ...Love
your enemies: do good to them that hate you: and pray for them that
persecute and calumniate you: [Matthew 5:44]
We have also amply explained how "Love" works in a soul
(4) and recommend
a
review of this document.
Therefore, we must make sure with illustrative warnings, not with
threats, that the Faithful
understand the reality of sin, satan and hell. We must also live and
teach
by example the "Pillars of Salvation" as defined above (and endorsed by
the only One Who truly matters, God):
Thou
shalt love the Lord thy God with thy whole heart, and with thy whole
soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind: and thy
neighbour as thyself. [Luke
10:27]
The unsaid part of your message is that because of the Second Vatican
Council
(5) the
world is where it is now since the "evil council" debunked
satan and hell.
Tragically, as you point out, the existence of hell and
satan have been de-emphasized by the alleged Evangelizers but, we ask
you,
Does it really matter at this
time?
If the techniques used by the alleged Evangelizers of the
pre
Vatican II Church had been worth anything, the world
would have never reached
the point it is in now. The Church already was
in serious need of repair
in the time of Francis of Assisi (1182-1226) - nearly 800 years before
said Council. The reality is that Christianity started going off its
tracks the moment Constantine made it the Religion of the Empire
(6) - a strictly political
move to shore up his falling empire.
Regarding being "
...bewildered about
what is mortal sin and what is
venial sin in this crazy world of ours" there is no need to be.
If we
focus our whole attention in God and strive to truly love Him
above
all, strive to do His Will at all times, and to console Him,
somehow the
individual in question will not need to worry much about categories
of sin because, even if said individual was about to, unknowingly,
commit a
grave sin, He will gently stop him/her.
We regret that you must go through the difficult times that you are
experiencing now but, as you well know, God does not make mistakes;
therefore, there must be a very important purpose(s) for these trials
and we pray that whatever purpose it is, will soon be achieved. Many
years ago, after his conversion but before his departure from the
world, the man who became m de P had to file for bankruptcy since he
felt that the
other option would not have been acceptable to God
(7).
That was one of several severe tests God subjected him to
before opening the
floodgates of plenty -
on
all fronts.... only to then ask him to leave
all behind and follow Him, which,
through the Grace of God,
he did.
In closing.... You state "
so we need
to discern where it is we are to end up". The answer has been
placed before you and the world in a Silver Platter since 1992 and it
still is available

In conclusion.... Keep your focus on God and not satan; on Heaven and
not hell; on loving

you know that.... a movement to arrest Pope
Benedict XVI for international crimes against humanity when he arrives
in Britain later this year went noisily public on Sunday, April 11th? (1)
Just as former Chilean
dictator Augusto Pinochet was arrested at a London hospital on a
Spanish warrant under the novel legal concept of "universal
jurisdiction," lawyers are assembling the case that Pope Benedict could
be held on charges of crimes against humanity, specifically child
sexual slavery.
The Sunday Times called it a planned "ambush" that could
embarrass the British government and force an awkward confrontation
with the courts over diplomatic immunity.
Internationally, the Vatican is treated as a sovereign
state for many purposes, including the signing of treaties, but its
legal status is uncertain, and it sits at the United Nations only as an
observer.
On his blog on Sunday, Prof. Dawkins denied telling The
Sunday Times anything so "personally grandiloquent" as wanting to slap
the cuffs on the pontiff himself, but he expressed wholehearted support
for the idea, which he credits to fellow deity slayer Christopher
Hitchens.
